Road Trip Ideas National Parks

Road Trips to National Parks - Which Ones to Visit

Want to take a road trip to some of the most popular National Parks in the U.S.? Which ones are truly worth the visit? Upon research for my own family, here are ones I would love to visit with my family:

Pacific Coast Highway - Home to the iconic Olympia National Park. So much to explore!

Rocky Mountain National Park - Explore the highest peaks and clear lakes. This one would be awesome to hike. Imagine the family photos!

Minute Man National Historical Park - The "shot heard around the world" April 19, 1775. Historical park dedicated to the eight year war for independence between England and American Colonists.

Big Bend National Park - Amazing geological discoveries and fossils.

Other National Parks on my traveling radar are:

Great Smokey Mountains National Park
Grand Canyon National Park
Yosemite National Park
Yellowstone National Park
Joshua Tree National Park
Death Valley National Park

Whether you are planning to take your family vehicle or your RV, it's definitely worth planning and mapping the best destinations. I would love to be able to rent a RV for a couple weeks and just trek around to the nearest parks. Since we are a homeschooling family, this would be the ultimate field trip as a family.
