Hyundai Steal the Spotlight at the Academy Awards
While hundreds of veteran actors and today’s shining starlets graced the infamous Red Carpet at this year’s Academy Awards, there was only one automaker in the spotlight during the event – none-other than Hyundai. The model that really stole the spotlight was the Elantra… winner of the ALG Residual Value Awards and iSeeCars’ Top Small Sedan 2011 designation.
It should be noted that this isn’t the first time Hyundai dominated the Academy Awards. This marks the Korean automaker’s third-consecutive year as the event’s exclusive automotive sponsor. Befittingly, the Elantra was featured in one of this year’s ads, wearing Red Allure. And no, the Japanese automaker did not call up Sandra Bullock or Jennifer Lawrence to see what they’d be wearing first.
In total, nine Hyundai advertisements aired before and during the 83rd Academy Awards. All available to watch on YouTube, they are:’Drawing Board’ (mentioned above), featuring the Elantra
‘Childhood’, featuring the Hyundai Elantra
‘Deprogramming’, featuring the Hyundai Elantra
‘Greatest Luxury’, featuring the Hyundai Genesis
‘Good Things Come in Threes’, highlighting Hyundai’s powertrains
‘Comfy Home’, featuring the Hyundai Equus
‘Family’, featuring the Sonata
‘Anachronostic City’, featuring the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid
‘iPad’, highlighting the Hyundai Equus’ application of the iPad as the car’s user manual
If you would like to learn more about any of Hyundai’s above, please visit Patrick Hyundai in greater Chicago, Illinois. We’d be happy to share their specs and set up a test drive.
