Patrick Hyundai Supports Hyundai Hope On Wheels
"We are inspired every day by the brave children we meet at our Handprint Ceremonies. When the kids place their handprints on the car, we are honoring their brave battles against cancer, commemorating their triumphs and sharing their hope for the future with other children and their families across the country." said Hanley Dawson, owner of Patrick Hyundai in this 2009 Hope On Wheels news article.
Hope on Wheels Story
Since 1998, Hyundai and its dealers have been committed to supporting the fight against childhood cancer. What began in 1998 as a local initiative supported by New England-area Hyundai dealers to raise funds for the Jimmy Fund at Boston's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has evolved into Hyundai Hope on Wheels, an independent 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that is now supported nationwide by Hyundai's 800+ dealers and Hyundai Motor America. Since its inception, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated more than $23 million to children's hospitals across the country to help kids fight cancer. Every time a new Hyundai vehicle is sold in the U.S., a donation is made to Hope on Wheels.
