Race with Hyundai Veloster on Times Square Video Billboard

Hyundai is not only implementing great technology into their new vehicles, they are utilizing great technology to promote them too! Their latest bit of marketing brilliance includes a 2012 Hyundai Veloster and a giant screen television in the middle of Times Square, New York.

And here is yet another method of marketing. This procedural and well planned phenomenon of accurately attracting the eye sight and a few times attention has now been adopted by Hyundai. Week before last week, South Korean automaker launched an interactive racing game called “Hyundai Race” on its video billboard in Times Square, New York City. In this video, users can race on a large video screen, as seen in image with 2012 Veloster sports hatch.

This process to play the game is simple, iPhone users need to download the controller for Hyundai Race from the App Store. Once they are done, they can connect to the free Hyundai WiFi network in Time Square, and get set go. Final result appear on the screen.

“Having a large video display in Times Square certainly creates awareness among consumers through creative graphic elements. But Hyundai’s racing game takes engagement to a new level,” said Steve Shannon, vice president of Marketing, Hyundai Motor America.

“The game invites the audience to interact with Hyundai in the middle of one of the world’s busiest venues for commerce and tourism. It’s a great example of our innovative marketing at work,” Shannon added.
